DVD architect 4.5 issue, black space during moments of the video
So I’ve spent the last 8 monthes making a movie with Sony Vegas 8 and I’ve finally completed it. It’s composed of over 400 shots in 15:45 and has lots of cropped videos and effects on almost every shot. Even the whole movie is cropped just a little so that the overscan won’t be so bad on older tvs. I rendered it with max settings on everything with the DivX codec and then built and burnt the DVD using dvd architect.
The finished image quality is stunning, more than I could’ve hoped for. It’s very smooth and the DVD plays on all of the dvd players and computers I’ve tested it on. The one problem is that during four or five moments in the movie the image just goes black for about 3-5 seconds. I’ve tried reburning the movies, I’ve tried building a new dvd from scratch with dvd architect (one with a DivX version (450mb) of the movie (which I prefer) and one with an uncompressed version (3 gigs) of the movie) and the same thing happened.
I made another quick movie and the same problem occurred, just two moments where the image turned to black. This video had no cropping or effects.
I thought that this must’ve been something to do with the DivX codec (it took about 3.5 hours for dvd architect to prepare the dvd) but the same thing happened with the uncompressed version of the video, and it happened at roughly the same time.
I’ve poured hundreds of hours into this project and it’s devastating to get this far and still have problems. Any help would be great, thanks!
