Render templates/ vegas studio platinum 9
I am a recent convert to VMS Platinum, having finally got tired of the pinnacle stability issues. I was using pinnacle from v9 thrugh to 12, but have had so many issues with menus and transition corruption that I had to change. I have been using VMS for a short time now, and whilst I really like it, I seem to have hit an issue that make it impossible to continue using it.
I have a 2 hour show that I need to fit onto a 4.7gb dvd. In studio, I used to reduce the bit rate down until I got the fiel size to where I wanted it. Normally, there has been no complaints about the quality. However, it seems this is not possible with VMS? I cannot believe that it i snot possible to adjust the bit rate when rendering, (the custom button is greyed out). I have checked the docs, forums etc and it does seem to me that VMS has been nobbled to disallow the custom button the VMS for some templates.
Is there any way to reduce the bit rate on rendered mpg2 files? As I understand, I need to render the final output as mpg2 so I can use DVD Architect to add menus…
Any pointers very much appreciated…
Thank you
