    Is there a way to make the audio I recorded sound like it is coming through a telephone. I want it to sound a little distance, muffled, etc. Like if you were to have someone on speaker phone and you recorded the audio that way.

    Telephones only let a narrow band around 1Khz through. Use the Track EQ and boost at 1K and cut everything on either side. Adjust the width of the cut to your liking but everything below 500 and above 1.5K should do the trick.
