  Reducing interlace flicker in DVDA

  I just added subtitles to a DVD Architect project for the first time. So this might be a dumb question.

  The “reduce interlace flicker” option is available for each subtitle event individually. That would seem to imply that each event can have this option set separately from the rest.

  However, when I set it for one, they all are enabled… along with the video track underneath.

  That’s fine for the subtitles (I want to set them all anyway), but not for the video track. With it enabled on the video track, the space required balloons up to over 6 GB. So the software now tells me I’ll need to recompress the video to fit on the DVD (which I’d rather avoid if possible).

  Is there a way to set the reduce-flicker option just on the subtitle track, without affecting the video?

  If not, am I correct in thinking I’d be better off re-rendering the video in Vegas to shrink it down, instead of letting DVDA try to recompress it?
