  Stills squeezed on render playback

  Hello,

  Ive been rendering out an HDV avi video with some stills incorporated. When I render the video the stills become squeezed and therefore do not retain their aspect ratio as on the timeline.

  but….this only shows when viewing with WMP or FLV. When I view the clip in my NERO player the pictures look as they should are are not squeezed.

  Is this just a matter of playback apps or an issue with how I rendered a video that contains stills?

  You may have rendered using a template that does not use square pixels and some playback applications are smart enough to know this and some are not. If your target device is a PC/web then use a template that has a pixel aspect of 1.0. If your target device is a TV then don’t worry about it. TV’s understand pixel aspect and will play them correctly.
