Vega 8.0 FX problems
I am relatively new to the world of editing, but I can usually figure things out pretty well. I have just created a wonderful video, but upon adding the Black and White FX to the first clip, it has turned to whole video Black and White. When I click on the FX icon on one of the effected clips, it tells me that there is no FX assigned to this clip. Please let me know how to fix this.

Make sure that you added it to only the one clip by clicking on that clip. You might have added the FX to the whole track instead. That can be found to the far left where the track number, fader, track motion etc are found. Hope this helps if not let me know.

You can add Fx in many different locations. In the track header and it will effect the whole track. In each event (Vegas name for a clip) and it will effect only the event and in the preview window which will effect the entire project.

Thank you so much. I had looked in that area, but I guess I didn’t look well enough. That was a big help.
