Have you tried playing it in another player and see
    if the gaps are there?

I have had all kinds of problems trying to play some videos in Windows Media Player. However when I play the same video in Media Player classic or Zplayer it plays fine. Don’t trust WMP.

Are you using the 64 bit version of Sony Vegas? If you are I have had this problem myself and couldn’t fix it. I believe it is a known issue with this version and don’t know if there is a fix for it. Anyone else know?

I honestly have no clue. All I know is that it’s Sony Vegas 8

I am not sure if this is the same problem that you are having, but in earlier versions of vegas there was a problem with frames missing. In order to clear this problem you would need to save your project and then close vegas and restart before rendering your project.
