Hi, I’m trying out the Sony Vegas 8.0 tutorial and I have a slight problem. At first, when I got it the panning/cropping was fine but then I don’t know what I clicked or did but it’s not the same. When I try to move the whole rectangle thing to the left or right it doesn’t work. It only lets me move up and down. It’s like it’s stuck in that position and there’s something stopping it from being moved left/right. I want to return it back to when i could move it up/down & left right. How can I do this?

A locked icon is most likely your problem, give the following steps a run-through. In the Pan & Crop window the bottom tool on the left panel, the X-Y movement direction icon, will most likely be showing a double headed arrow with the arrows pointing up-down. Click on this vertical arrow icon and it will show a cross with arrow heads. The cross arrow selection allows free form movement of the pan/crop window. A double headed vertical arrow showing only allows up-down movement. Click again and a double headed horizontal arrow should appear which will allow you only left-right movement. Easy one to get caught on!
