    I’m currently using Vegas Platinum 7.0 and I was wondering how do you crop what part of the video you want? For instance, I have a video, but I only want the left part of the video to be in the timeline, so is there a way to cut away the other part of the video?

    Use the ‘S’ key to split the clip at the desired point and then delete the unwanted portion.

    Mikes is a good way. Another way is to grab the right side of the video with the curser and drag it to the left.

    Both ways are non-destructive. That is you can lengthen the video again to regain lost portions if necessary.

    no I’m sorry that’s not what I mean…I must not have explained it well…I mean the physical part of the video…what I’m trying to do is have three videos playing side by side…so I’m going to import a video, but I want the whole video to play, but only want a certain portion of the video visible on the timeline…how can I crop a video I guess is what I’m asking so only one part of it shows?…
