    Hi All,

I’m trying to reduce rendering times as much as possible and was wondering if how a project is organised affects render times. Are there any guidelines that anyone knows about or that experience has taught?

For example, I’m working on a project where there are a number of changes with “track motion”. Would it be better if I used one fewer tracks and changed the tracked motion (eg make changes and then bring back to normal) on the same track, or would it be better to use more tracks and have fewer changes to “tracked motion” (or does it make no difference?).

Although that is one example, I was keen to hear about general project organisation and how (if at all) this affects render times.

    Your thoughts are greatly appreciated

Rendering is a waiting process anyway you take it..So the
best way to improve rendering speed to see a significant
improvement over what you are getting now is just to increase
the processing power…(new powerhouse computer or doubling
up on your processor and some more memory
    ).

    However,
In properties, set the “full-resolution rendering quality” to “good”.
It will give you a bit more speed (keep it at that always…
only set it to “best” whenever you have pictures on
    the timeline).
