Frame Capture and Deinterlacing
I’m using Vegas Movie Studio. I’m getting a still from a 1080-60i (HDV) video using the technique of setting the preview window to best/full and then doing a save operation. The still I’m trying to capture is from a scene with a lot of motion, so not surprisingly the still suffers from a lot of interlace artifacts. I realize that at least to some extent this is just the nature of the beast. What I’m wondering is if there is a more intelligent way to deinterlace and capture a frame that will produce fewer of these artifacts – i.e. give me a better quality image. Or am I hoping for too much? Thanks.
