  Can´t export in AE when I have audio checked in

  Hi

  As I mention in the subject I can´t export in AE CS3 when I have the audio box checked. I have had the system awhile and now out of the blue this problem have show up.

  I had Quiketime 7.5 installed when I got the problem. And I have had QT 7.5 for awhile with no problem.

  Installed QT 7.6 but I didn´t help

  I have tried to reinstall AE but with no luck.

  And I do not matter if I have an audio track in the AE comps, with or without audio as soon as I check the audio box (in the output moudle) and try to export it do not work. If I try to export without the audio checked it works fine.

  Can anyone help me please.

  what output module ‘format’ and ‘format options’ are you using? for instance, the default format is usually ‘quicktime’ and the default format options are usually compression type ‘animation’.

  one other thing, what is the source of the audio and it’s file type? is it audio from the video clip and the clip is dv, or is the audio a separate file, like an mp3?

  Hi

  The footage i work with is tiff sequences. Regarding the audio I have tested aif files, and 8 to 32 bits PCM wav files. So the footage and audio is not the same file.

  I have tried different output module ‘format’ and ‘format options’. Everything from Animation to H264. Same problem, as soon as I check the audio box (to include the audio) I can´t export. And if i have the exact same setup but don´t check the audio box I can export.

  i was hoping you were using a format that didn’t support audio or a file type ae didn’t like…

  if you have audio/video output hardware, check your audio preferences and try setting the audio hardware and output settings to built-in and then try setting the video preview ‘output during’ to not include renders.

  i’m not sure if this will help, but at least it will rule out any third-party hardware interference…
