I’m about to move to a Sony SR12 for the production of chromakey videos; the final rendered result will be in flv format. These will be placed into Adobe Captivate and published as SCORM packages.

My jump to the AVCHD format leads me to ask what the best overall workflow is: up till now, I’ve been using Movie Studio Platinum for the editing and chroma keying of our SD files, then I’ve used a separate product (Camtasia) to render the flv files.

So…to those of you out there who know what you’re doing…is it best to convert the AVCHD files to CineForm AVI first, import and edit in Vegas next, and render to WMV files before importing for flv conversion in Camtasia? Given our need to use chroma key, do these format choices sound appropriate? Finally, can any of you particularize about template settings (for example, how should I set my WMV options when rendering from Vegas Platinum?).

    Thanks in advance,

    Carl
