    Hello

I have Sony Vegas movie studio Platnum 9.0a

I have the panasonic AVCHD 3ccd hdc-sd1 high def camcorder.

I am having a really bad time trying to find the right render options to make a good looking youtube video. (like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5H7IYPw40Q )My videos have never looked that good they are always muddier and more pixelized (like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rneG3l-p6g)

I was told that Vegas 9 isnt capable of producing youtube HD video like the Mcdonalds one I posted because some of the advance features are blocked on it.

Can anyone help me improve my youtube video quality?

    Thanks

    -Nick

Have you tried rendering to an HD windows media format…WMA
gives a decent output on you tube…..(but MPG4 is best)

I use Vegas 8 with the following render settings (start with a clean AVI or HD master project):

    – Mainconcept/AVC/AAC: Start with the iPod 640 x 480 template.
    – Modify Video rendering quality to best.
    – On video section set Number of reference frames to 2 and check the use deblocking filter option. You can save this template as “you tube”….

This seetings give me videos with the “watch in high quality option” enabled in You Tube …. I don´t know if you can set the same on Vegas 9…. Good luck

Yes the mp4 format did look better.

Im hoping someone out there has researched this and can post the optimum render settings.

Yeah…those options are only available in the pro version.
So the best you can do is with your present MPG4 output.

    Hey

I got vegas 9 figured out. I found the mainconcept AAC AVC .mp4 with the 640×480 Ipod template (vegas 9 wont let me edit that template 🙁 ) But it works pretty good and now I have the “watch in high def” option on youtube.

I have 4 test videos and this one is the best by far…I guess ill be using it for all my stuff from now on.

    Thanks so much your help
