  HELP!! my Pan/Crop window is where it shouldn’t be!

  I work with vegas pro 8. I have been happy to press the FX or Crop icon on a video clip, and be able to edit in a NEW WINDOW. Now I have got a problem.

  What happened:
  I was about to crop a part, but I guess i clicked once too many time on the crop icon.

  Problem:
  in stead of popping up in a new window, my Pan/Crop window opened in that little box, where you also got project media, media manager, trasitions etc.
  How can I get my Pan/crop window out of that little box and have it as a seprate window as before?

  What have I tried:

  I have restored pro 8 by running it while pressing Ctrl, shift.
  I have closed the window from the mediabar

  still no help.

  Here below is a picture of my problem.

  1- When I press the “FX” icon, it opens up as normal in a new window. (GREAT)
  2- When I press the “Pan/Crop” icon, it opens up, strangely in the media box (It’s killing me)

  

  How can I get my Pan/crop window back, as a seprate window, as before?

  What you’ve done is accidentally “docked” that window.
  Look in the top left corner of the Pan/Crop window and you’ll see a row of vertical dots.
  Grab it there and drag out (undock it) to the desired location.

  Also, holding the Control button while you drag the window helps to override the docking desire.

  Thanx to Mike and Julie I’m back on track and my Pan/crop window is baaaaaaaaaaaaack! Jubiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  Well I had to use both your advices bc Mikes dot-dragging didn’t help unless, as Julie said, I pressed the Control.
