    Hi folks,

Does anyone know what might be causing my HD TV colors to shift after playing my DVD that I created with Vegas and DVD architect? The DVD looks fine on my HD TV but then when I switch back to watching CNN or any other cable channel the colors displayed are only Red and Green and then the signal on the cable turns into red and green with alot of noise and then the signal starts becomeing extremely pixelated.

I am saturaing the colors in Vegas to punch up the color a bit. Any suggestions if this or something else might be the culprit? I’m using Vegas 7.0 and DVD Architect 5.0. Should I use one of the FX tools to turn all the clips on the timeline to broadcast colors before I render out the .mpg?

    Thanks much for your suggestions!

    Best regards,

    Charmaine

I figured out the problem, in case anyone else encounters it, the solution is to select all the video clips on the timeline to the end and the go into the Video Effects filter panel in Vegas, select Broadcast colors, choose the amount of leniency you desire (I choose lenient 7.5 and Studio to RGB 235) applied that to the entire timeline and then rendered the movie and recompiled the DVD in DVD Architect. This eliminated the major color shift problem that occurred on my large HDTV after switching from watching the DVD to a cable TV channel.
