  automating velocity envelope

  hello guys,

  im currently experimenting with the velocity envelope in sony vegas pro. Basically im decreasing the speed of this dance video inbetween each beat of the song and then speeding it up to double speed just as the next beat hits…basically the effect is that the dancers snap to the beat quicker, making them look amazing at dancing, even when some of them are quite sloppy.

  My problem is though, i need to have this simple speed change happening on every major beat in the music, so i was wondering if there was a way of automating the process, or writing a simple script.

  You could definitely write a script to do this but you would need to know how to program in JavaScript, VB, or C#. You would also have to import the music at the project tempo in order for the script to be able to calculate where the beats are. Then you would just program in whatever changes you are making manually.
