  Cannot view video.

  Yesterday I created a video in Sony Vegas. I could click on the play button and watch it in my preview window. Today, I open the same file. I click the play button and it will NOT play!!! It just sits there and does nothing. I can open a different file and it plays just fine. Then I come back to the one I really want to work on and it will NOT play!!!

  What is WRONG??? This is nuts!!!

  to which codec did you render the unviewable video?

  Since I don’t understand what you are asking nor have I ever done anything with CODECs, I will have to assume that I have not changed anything on this video that would be different than the other 4 videos that I have done. The other 4 will play the preview. This one won’t. The only difference is that the one that won’t work was published as a .wmv. The other 4 were published as .mpg. Is that what you are talking about.

  Can you tell me where to check this CODEC you are talking about?

  I am new to video. I am a database programmer and know little about video.
