Particle Illusion / Raylight
Posted by David Vanderveken on September 11, 2008 at 7:35 amHello,
I will use Sony Vegas with Raylight (to get mfx files work with Vegas).
Does anyone know if Particle Illusion will accept Raylight avi files
without any problem?
Thank you.

September 11, 2008 at 7:39 amSorry guys,
I just found out that there is also a PI part on this forum.
Guess I was to fast posting this. But still, maybe some Vegas people/users know the answer? -

The best way to work with particle illusion is not to
render out a finished shot from it, but to render out the
particles/effects in a image sequence with an alpha
channel…(eg in targa format).
THEN, bring that in vegas where you composite it in your project.Avi Raylight files opens in Particle illusion,
But You only need to import a file in particle illusion
as a reference to get your effects arranged correctly.Steve Rhoden

Yes, that is the rendering methode I use.
Just didn’t know if PI would accept a Raylight avi file
as a reference. But that’s just what I like so much
about this forum. one always gets a complete answer. So once again I’d like to thank you and I appreciate the time you take for sharing your knwoledge.
