  AE uses only half of Ram for Ram preview

  Hi folks,

  I use AE CS4 on a vista 64-bit machine with 16GB Ram. Unfortunately, AE only uses 6-7 GB of the installed Ram for the preview on the timeline. Then, rendering stops and playback starts. The preferences in AE are (hopefully) all optimized for use of multiple processors as well as large Ram Resources. When rendering via render cue, AE uses up to 15 GB Ram, why semms this to be impossible for Ram preview?

  Any suggestions or ideas?
