  Transfering Vegas 8 render presets to Vista

  I’m trying to transfer my Vegas 8 ‘render as’ presets from a hard drive with XP to another hardrive with Vista 64 bit.

  While I’ve been able to find where the presets live in XP under the documents and settings folder I can’t find where these need to go in Vista. Anyone out there with an answer?

  I don’t have Vista but the XP ones are here:

  C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Sony\File Templates\[plug-in name]\[plug-in GUID].

  Which means the Vista ones should be here:

  C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Sony\File Templates\[plug-in name]\[plug-in GUID].

  Like I said, I don’t have Vista so I can’t check but that should get you close.

  Thanks so much – that was exactly it. What was throwing me off is that it’s a hidden folder.

  Isn’t that wonderful that important files are in hidden folders. 😉 It also didn’t help that the forum removed all of the Slashes from my post. 🙁
