After capturing a video, Vegas is playing it very slow and it sounds choppy. Also, when I import the video into Steinberg Cubase to do audio score, it is playing fast and everything is sped-up. Any clues as to why one program is playing it too slow and the other program is playing it too fast?

    thank you for any help!!!

Can you give us some more detail such as your processor type/speed, what files you are working with (AVHC, M2T, AVI, etc.), whether or not you are getting choppy playback from the timeline or from rendered files, if you have any fx added to the events, etc., etc.

We just need some more information to be able to help you. One thing you could try though is to ensure your preview window is set to either Draft or Preview Auto.

Thanks so much for the reply. But, I figured it out. It seems that Cubase was automatically changing the sample rate, thus throwing it out of whack. Simple oversight on my part.
