    Hi,

I need help with tryting to replace a mpeg file that was setip in DVD architect. Basically, I have a menu, that I want to keep, I just want to replace an updated version of the main video the menu items are point to. The replacement file has the same sections names. I tried to simply replace the onld mpeg with the new one, but it seems that it didnt pick up the new markers.

    Please help.

    Kind regards,
    Mil.

You may just have to press the Load Chapters button to load the updated marker file assuming you generated a new marker file when you rendered. I don’t believe it refreshes automatically.

Is there a way to get it to navigate to a totally new mpeg file whilst keeping the same menu names? The markers in the new Vegas file have the same names as the menu items?

    In summary:
    1. I have a DVD artitect file that has menu names set up with and older version mpeg I want to replace..
    2. I have a new mpeg, that has markers created in Vegas with the same titles in the orginal DVD architect file.

Your further assistance would be greatly appreciated/

    Kind regards,
    Mil.

Drop the new file(s) into the folder where the old one(s) is/are.
Be sure to move the old one somewhere else if you want to keep it.
That way, when you start DVD Architect up again, it’ll automatically load the correct file(s).
As John said, you’ll probably need to reload the markers.
Also, if the file lengths are different (even if it’s only a few seconds), open them up in DVDA and make sure the entire segment is selected.

In DVDA double click on the first chapter (not in Preview). This will open the the whole show in the editing window.
On the upper right you find “Media Properities”.
    Open “Track Media”.

You find “Video” and “Audio” When you click on these you find that you can delete and replace each track with a new MPG or AC3.

In the Editing Window below you can move the track markers to new positions.

Sorry it’s called Load Markers. When you double-click on the link to go into the MPG media, it’s the 9th button from the left on top of the track. It looks like a folder icon with a marker icon over it.
