Do you loose any quality if you bring in a rendered video at lossless quality and then render out again?
Hi there
Basically I have a 5 minute animation that is basically a long panning shot without any cuts in, so I have done it in various projects as 5 minutes is too long for one but I need to bring them all together. I was thinking of rendering each one out and then bring them into each other if that makes sense? And then Id render out again but will there be any issues with the quality differing in sections due to some of it being rendered video and some of it being the actual composition parts…if that makes sense? OR does anyone know any easier way of doing this?!

If they’re all lossless files and you set all your comp and interpretation settings correctly then you won’t lose any discernable quality by joining them an re-rendering another lossless file.
Consider Quicktime Pro, however, which will allow you to very quickly cut and paste all five clips into one without any need for decompression/recompression. Best 39 bucks you’ll ever spend, but if you’re using PC wait until the new version is available.
