velocity envelope
I’ve lost the ability to see the video envelope, even though View/show envelopes is checked. When I insert a velocity envelope, there no longer is a blue line to adjust.
This happened after I went to tools/options/customize keyboard and then to Global/velocity envelope and set a keyboard shortcut to make that happen. But, I discovered, the shortcut added a velocity envelop to the top video track even if I had highlighted a lower track. So I removed the shortcut — and lost the ability to see the envelope.
Solutions?

You might try holding CTRL-SHIFT when starting Vegas which will reset it back to factory defaults. You’ll then have to re-make the preference changes you’ve made since then.

Thanks, Ed. I think first I’ll try setting the keyboard options back to factory settings (I think I can do that.) If that doesn’t do it, I’ll go to the more extreme of resetting everything back.

It turns out that the problem is you need to check TWO settings for video velocity display:
–View/show envelopes (be sure there’s a check mark)
–View/video envelopes — be sure all are checked, especially “velocity”Rick Wise
