I’m looking for the most efficient “free” way to export a movie made of 50+ clips from Vegas 8 into AE CS3. I need to stabilise, color correct and add a few special effects and then re-import into Vegas for final cut/audio mix.

    Thanks!

The usual recommendation is either uncompressed AVI or an image sequence (PNG because it’s lossless).

I would rather like to have each clip separate, so I can apply effects/corrections on individual segments. Is it possible to have each clip rendered in png in a different folder? I’d hate for the whole thing to just be mixed together. This is my first time, so I have no workflow…

Export out of vegas using AAF, it will come perfectly into AE, then apply your FX, etc. to the individual clips. But once your done you have to render as a movie file preferably uncompressed AVI. Works like a charm everytime.
