April 2, 2008 at 3:11 amYou need to place each video on it’s own track and then use either Pan/Crop or Track Motion to shrink and re-position each clip.
I know the full version of Vegas has both of these features but I’m not sure about Movie Studio. -

April 2, 2008 at 1:55 pmTake a look at Edward Troxel’s free newsletters (PDF format).
PIP (Picture In Picture (what you want to do) using Track Motion is covered in Vol. 1 # 2, 3 & 4.
Pan/Crop is covered in Vol. 1 #8.
Some of the functions will only be applicable to the full version of vegas but there are enough similarities so that you should be able to figure things out. -

April 2, 2008 at 2:32 pmClick the crop icon found on every video clip. If you don’t see it, then visit VIEW/Event Event buttons. Or, right click the event/clip and choose pan/crop from there.
You can do this easily with Track motion, moving one to one side, and one to the other side, or even partially overlaying them diagonally, shrinking them down in Track Motion so that you can fit them both on the screen at full frame value.
If you keep having problems, drop me a note, I’ll build it for you in Movie StudioOr, you can buy one of my many books on Vegas, buy one of my training DVDs on Vegas, visit my Youtube pages (this topic is exactly discussed in a free youtube video), or you can come to a Vegas training session. 🙂
