  Capturing audio from MiniDV Camcorder in .wav format

  At times I use the audio track from a MiniDV tape but I only need a .wav file. I don’t need the much larger .avi file. Right now I have to download the .avi file and then render the audio track as a .wav. This is cumbersome and takes up space on the hard drive. I have a friend who uses another video editing program who downloads .wav files directly from his MiniDV camcorder. Can I do this in Vegas 7?

  Try Scenalyzer Live for this task. It works great and can capture straight to a .WAV file ignoring the video.
