Problem with Slideshow Audio
My wife and I have been using MS Movie Maker to do music and picture slideshows of personal pictures for holidays and keepsakes. We recently purchased a DV camcorder and upgraded to Sony Vegas 8 Plat.. We’ve been going through the tutorials and learning as much as we can.
I seem to be having problems with my audio sync’ing properly. Right now we haven’t even added any video, we only have .jpg images on the video track and music on our audio track (several differnt formats: mp3, m4a, m4p). When we’re working on the timeline and click play to preview, the audio and video sync for the most part. Sometimes the transition of images seems to lag behind a bit and get out of sync but if I click stop and re-start it, it sync’s back up. Why does that happen?
Also, more importantly, when I rendered my video to .avi they were not sync’d at all, the music was way out of wack compared to the timeline. I then tried to render as Windows Media Video and it was better but still many of the slides/pictures weren’t changing exactly as we timed it in the timeline.
I’m guessing this is something I am just ignorant about as a total beginner, but does anyone have a solution to these issues?
I also have another problem. I can’t use iTunes music i’ve purchased in Vegas. As a workaround I’m burning to CD and then ripping them out as non-DRM mp3’s. Is there an easier soution to this? thanks.
