  Placing a still image

  Hi,

  I have one last question about placing a still image (jpg).

  I drag the JPG (vertical photo) into the timeline. The image is automatically centered in the 16:9 video. How can I change the position of this photo to appear to the right side of the screen?
  With “Event/Pan crop” I see options for “moving” the picture, but the “window” that is left for the image is the same that was created originally. I mean, if I move the image outside the original “passepartout” that was created by Vegas, the image will disappear even if there is plenty of space in the screen to display it.

  After placing the image, open Pan/Crop, right-click the image in the Pan/Crop dialog, and choose “Match Output Aspect”. You should then be able to zoom in/out, pan, and position as desired.

  Plus, you can always use Track Motion to change the position. Just don’t use it for zooming!
