  black horizontal bars are not true black on tv

  When I burn a 16:9 dvd, the horizontal bars are not a true black. They contrast with anything that is true black on the screen. How can I make the bars black on the tv the way they are on my pc? I’m not sure if it’s a problem with Vegas or DVD Architect. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it! I have a bride that is waiting on her dvd!

  It could be a problem with your computer monitor.
  Have you tried burning a DVD of it to see if it’s OK on a TV set?

  If you have and it’s still a problem, try this workaround.
  Put a track of pure black below your entire video track.
  You’ll have to experiment with the RGB levels to get it to the correct value of black.
