When finishing editing a Vegas video, how do you remove the extra time line that is usually there.

In other words when you are editing and adding clips the timeline expands so when you are done there is excess. How do you eliminate the excess from your video?

if you mean the clips that are there go to the first one right click choose “select all events to the end” and hit delete.
If you meant the timeline itself there is no reason to try to delete it as the job should stop at the end of the last clip unless way down the line there’s a clip or marker lurking there which is the reason to do the first thing and then use control+right arrow to see if the cursor goes to a marker hiding out there on you.

If you are ready to render, clip the last clip to do a region and drag the left edge to the beginning. Then render the region. That is always safer to make sure you are rendering just what you want. If it is a DVD, render it first as mpg2 and second (same region) as AC3.

I just click the “Move to end” button (the triangle pointing right with a vertical line to the right in the play/stop area) and if it isn’t where I think it should be I know I have something on the timeline after the end.
