    Here’s my issue…

I’ve been working on a project using Vegas 6.0 for months now. Last week, my PC needed to be formatted. I did this, upgraded to Vegas 6.0c, and opened up my project.

Can you imagine the horror when I found that the sound was now insane. There were “clicking” sounds every couple of seconds, and that was just for starters. When I actually made any kind of change to the project, the entire soundtrack became garbled, as though going through a Dalek-sounding ring modulator, skipping the whole time. The whole project also went into a kind of messed up slow motion.

My project is now unusable, and it looks like months of work is lost. Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you update the drivers for your soundcard as well?
Open a new Vegas project and do a copy/paste from the corrupt one to the new one.
If it works OK, save it immediately under a new name.
BTW, Vegas 6 was at 6.0d when it was done.
If you want to roll back to the version you were using, you can find it here.

Thanks! I went up to 7 and it works fine now. It seems that I was using a lower version and that was causing the issues.

Now, if only I can get this stupid Vegas scrolling/zooming issue fixed..!
