  DVCPRO HD file

  Someone sent me a file in the format DVCPRO HD. When I put it on the timeline in Vegas, there is audio, but no video. Do I need to somehow install a codec? Not sure where to get it or how to install.

  It came from Europe so I think it is a PAL file, if that matters.

  I thought it might work to add the .avi extension to the file as the file has no extension, but that didn’t work either. File name appears as: CERN-MOVIE-2007-008 (DVCPRO HD)

  Is there anyway to get Vegas to see this file?

  Download the Raylight product. I believe there is a demo still.
  That will decode your DVCProHD file for you.
