    Hello all,
I just started a new position where I am handling files to be converted for streaming (I am using vegas 7.0)I need to be able output in multiple bitrates, at present I edit the video in vegas and export to Windows Media Encoder 9.0 to get the other kbps rates. Is there any other encoder that will work inside Vegas?
Also does anyone have a suggestion for a converter that will do Divx to WMV? I get these occasionally and they are odd to convert.
    Thanks in advance!

What other bit rates are you referring to?
There’s quite a few choices you can make using the wmv encoder within Vegas.

The Bitrates that I encode for are:
    225Kbps 29.97 fps 320×240
    148kbps 29.97 fps 320×240
    58 15 fps 320×240

    70 kbps audio only

I have been editing the programs in vegas then exporting to WME to get the other bitrates (I think these Bit rates came from the IT guys where I work)
Newbie question: Can I use WME inside Vegas?

    Not that I’m aware of.
However, you can create all the custom render presets you want in Vegas and then use the Batch render script so you don’t have to sit around waiting for one to finish before you start the next one.

Yes, as Mike said, you can make all those bitrates in Vegas. Just start with a presewt, then change it and save it with a new name.
