DVD Architect burn darker and blotchier
I’ve been burning a vegas 7 DVDA rendered file in Architect and putting it side by side with the original vegas rendered file- the color saturation does not match. The burn ends up darker and blotchier than the original render. I haven’t added any color correction in Architect to my knowledge, and the resolution is the same on both files. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? tks, t.

While you preview it in vegas, and DVDa, you see it on the computer monitor, displayed as graphic.
If you play it back from DVD, the player software uses video overlays of your videocard, which may (and probably does) have
different brightness/contrast, gamma and color saturation settings.Create a DVD containing color bars, and calibrate your DVD player software so that you see the same colorbars as vegas show it to you.
Then compare again brightness, saturation, etc. 😉

Thanks for the response guys.
I have checked my dvd players settings and yes they were colored a bit. I set all the players to normal/original color/ect settings and this helped about 25%. It still is looking more saturated than the original render.
I’ve tried a number of different render lengths -20sec to 5+min with the same results. The bit rate is at 32.
I’m thinking I need to try a burning a render with another program to see what happens.t.

Apologies!! I’m new to video. How do I find my bit rate for my video file? Would DVDA burn at a different rate? Some info would be wonderful.
