Flipping clips, etc.
I am very new to Vegas. I am fairly computer saavy. However, I cannot, for the life of me, get this figured out.
I have read all the documentation and it is not sinking in at all.
I have some video footage that was shot, but occasionally the camera is tilted almost completely vertically. I need to be able to spin these clips a little bit so a person is not turning their head upside down when viewing certain parts of the vid.
Here is my dilemma. I have yet to figure out how to isolate any clip on the timeline. I understand that I can use the arrow to click on the time line, however nothing ever highlights. I can spin the clip around using the video pan selection at the very beginning of the vid, which spins the whole thing. However, if there is a part down the line that needs more spinning, I cannot isolate it to do so. How do you isolate portions of your video, either clips or individual frames. It is driving me completely insane. I don’t get the difference between, clips, events, and frames. Is there a difference in Vegas?
Also, I am trying to add transition effects to a portion of the video, but I can only add an empty event, then utilize the transition (which you cannot even see when playing back), I cannot seem to apply a transition to any portion, either event or frame(s) exclusively. It just appears as an empty white space. I am assuming this has also got to do with my inability to isolate any portion of the video on the timeline.
Please tell me how this is done, in simple english that a 6 year old will understand.
