re-joining clips after split?
Posted by Dv Memories video on May 15, 2007 at 7:50 pmIs there a way to re-join 2 clips together after they have been split, as long as nothing has changed with the in/out points?

Delete one of the clips and

May 15, 2007 at 9:07 pmThanks, guess the delete/resize will do the trick. Sometimes i will rely on splits to separate scenes or whatever. Or i’ll accidently split instead of splat for some unknown reason, not realizing until later.
In studio, you can select both clips, right click, then “combine clips” and it will join them back together.

Try using markers or regions for that.

I think UltimateS has an unsplit function -

Highlight both clips. Right click and select Open in Trimmer.
The single (joined) clip will be highlighted.
If this was part of a larger clip, only this selection will be highlighted.
Now drag it back to the timeline. -

May 16, 2007 at 3:58 pmI stand corrected, ot IS Excaliber that has the function. I many times get the two mixed up in my mind as to witch does what. There is some overlap. Great tools both.
