    Sony’s Vegas 7 states that it edits XDCam “natively”. Is that a good thing or would it be better to edit with an intermediate codec (i.e., Apple’s ProRes422, Cineform’s Aspect or Prospect, etc…)?

    XDCam also creates mpeg4 Proxy files. Conforming the finished edit to full res is a snap.

    How about doing the oposite? I am having a nightmare trying to change my timeline from full resolution to proxy … do you know how to do this? Tanks.
