We are putting together a very basic editing system for our department. Since I have been using the full fledged Vegas for several years I am inclined to go with the Studio version for this project. However another individual has recommended an Adobe product and provided this link to a Vegas review that seems to favor the Adobe product https://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2040787,00.asp
Can someone give me a link to some like information that will favor the Vegas product instead that I can take to the ‘powers that be’ to show that we should be using the Vegas product.
    Thanks

I believe that this particular author’s bias against Vegas was discussed at length on various boards when his comparative review of Vegas 6 was published.

Anyway, a statement like “Tools that are simple in other applications, such as trim windows for cutting unwanted frames, seem perplexingly complicated in Movie Studio.” simply show an ignorance of just how easy things are to do in Vegas.

You might try doing a search of posts here and at that other Vegas forum. The advantages of Vegas over Final Cut Pro have been spelled out in detail. The advantages over other systems has been less detailed, but there have been many posts.

I used the Movie Studio version briefly when I was helping out a neighbor. I was very, very impressed at how this stripped down version has roughly 80% of the full bore system. Further, Movie Studio really holds the hand of the user with extremely helpful guides on how to do each step.

Since the cost is so low, and you can try it for free for a month, perhaps the powers that be can be led to where you want them to go by a hands-on experience (possibly with your over-the-shoulder help.)
