  Nothing happens until I release the mousse button

  Out of nowhere, AE stopped showing me what I was doing in real time. Example: If I drop a solid on a new timeline and adjust its position, nothing happens until I release the mousse button, at which point the solid snaps into its new position. The same goes for all effects, or any other adjustment. The comp window remains unchanged until I let go of the mousse.

  It happened all of a sudden. I didn’t fiddle with the preview settings or anything. The same thing happened 2 weeks ago and I fixed it by reinstalling AE. I’d love to avoid doing that again. So I thought I’d post here to see what came up.

  Some how live update got switched off. Hit the switch at the top of the timeline panel to turn it back on.
