  Rendered projects not playing with Windows media player

  I have recently been experiencing a problem viewing projects as mpeg 2 before I render to dvd. It has always worked previously with Windows media player. I recently downloaded ver 11 in hope of correcting any associations that may have been corrupted. Is anyone experiencing recent problems like this or can offer a suggestion as to where to begin a solution? I am working with vegas 6.0 ver D. Thanks …OS is windows xp

  I have the exact same problem. I am using Vegas 7.0c, so not just a 6 problem. I was using 7.0b and it still did the lockups. Upgraded from WMP 10 to 11…still there.

  Can anyone please help?
