The out of sync is really there. When I “render (Shift/B)” on the timeline it appears pretty close. But when I render out a file, the sync gets worse and worse as time goes on. Even if I render a separate wav file, the problem is there. Here is the odd thing, if I render a wav file of the source mpg, and try to lock it to the video, the waveforms appear to line up. When I zoom in past a certain point, the waveforms on the mpg audio shift to the right – showing they are really out of sync. And when I play both audios, you can hear the separation very plainly. I havent run into this before, but I haven’t edited with mpgs much either.
I ended up having to render wavs of all the source files, and trying to match them to the edited material. I thought I could save the time I had already spent, but it took awhile to resync. It may have been just as fast to lock the wav and mpgs first and then re-edit!
