how can I add my closing credits to vegas 5 from a word doc?
I can’t seem to import them or copy and past to the media pool
anyone got any ideas or knowledge – I typed them earlier in micro word and did not want to re type it all again?thanks in advance

Copy the text in your word processor. Add a text generated media to the timeline. Click in the area where you type the text. Paste the text. You might also want to take a look at Vol 2 #9 of my newsletters.

Titles, yes. Glow effects, not specifically. Take a look at the “Newsletter Contents Index” sticky at the top for a list of what’s in every newsletter.

For the fx I want is there any sw program you reccomend I should get that works with sony vegas 5?

There is a glow effect built into Vegas. You might also check out the plugins at NewBlueFX.com and velvetmatter.com

If you’re looking to not pay a lot, try http://www.FXhome.com for some pretty cool software that does some really cool special effects (including color grading like you’re wanting), but doesn’t cost all that much, and is really quite easy to use.

I have. In fact I just recently purchased both EffectsLab Pro and CompositeLab Pro. If you go to this page: https://fxhome.com/products/range.html you’ll see on the sidebar they’re having a promotion right now if you buy both. I haven’t used CompositeLab yet, but what I have done in EffectsLab has been quite quick and easy. I’ve had a fair amount of keyframing experience in Vegas, as well as some training in Flash (which uses a very similar keyframe timeline to the FXhome products). With that experience it was very easy to pick up their software. But it shouldn’t bee too hard even if you haven’t had that kind of experience. They’ve got great video tutorials to walk you though things, as well as a great online community where you can get help, as well as post your movies for other people to see and comment on. You can’t beat what you get for the money.
