In VV6 I have a project that is set to 720×480 for DVD purposes. I have Photoshop image files that I created at exactly 720×480, and I digitized some videos at 720×480. However, when I cover any of the videos with an image, the video shows above and below the image. Does anyone know why? I tried the different 720×480 templates that VV offers and also played with the Pixel aspect ratios. But when I render the project, nothing seems to stop the video from showing above and beneath the images when they are laid on top.

    Thanks,
    Randy

I think your stills need to be 655×480 to completely fill up the screen. You can also choose the 4×3 aspect ratio from the pan/crop of the photo on the timeline and it will size it to fit the screen…but this will probably trim a little off the sides of the photo.

Have you tried matching the aspect ratio of the stills?
Open the Pan/Crop window, right click and select Match Output Aspect.
There are scripts to do this to the entire timeline at once.
