What’s the best way to add a freeze/camera flash effect without the flash transition?
I’m looking for a real good freeze/camera flash effect where the picture blows out to white then goes still.
I normally do it like this:
1. Have clip on timeline and make sure last frame is the one I want to freeze.
2. Save it as a still
3. Bring the still on the timeline and use the flash transition to cause the flash. Now, the problem with this is the transition ‘handles’. The still in ‘3.’ above has to
be a few frames back from the main clip for it to be a -transition- so some of the time,
although quick, the last frame seen with motion isn’t the one that’s made into a still.I know it may be negligable but in some instances doesn’t look right.
In regards to other methods, I don’t want to put a white solid on the track above and fade up from
white then down again as it looks too fake.I want that real blown out burnt out to white look.
Can anyone think of a better method?
