Rendering Troubles – need help
I have a Vegas 5 project (45 mins) that I have tried to render 3 times, and each time it stalls at the same point – 86% complete. Also, my machine has locked up each time (this never happens). Not sure what’s going on, but I have done several projects (none this large) and I have never had any trouble with rendering. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, this is due next Wednesday!!

I would check the event that is on the timeline at the 86% spot. Perhaps you have a corrupted file.

Do you think it could have something to so with available space, that drive is almost full?

Yes it could. Also, make sure your “temp” drive has enough space as well. There are file folders listed in both File – Properties and Options – Preferences that I change because they default to someplace in “My Documents”.

Roughly how much space would I need to render a 45 min project?

8+ Gig for the final output file plus whatever is needed for temp files.
