I have a five minute video using vegas 4 I render to mpeg 1 and the file is large… if possible, what are the steps to render as wmv so the quality is still good? When I tried to render to wmv8 or 9 the quality drops drastically. Any movement makes the video blur and break up. I would like to e-mail the video to people but the mpeg file is too large. Thanks for the help.

Rendering for streaming or email because of file size is always a trade-off.

Experiment with different bit rates to get the balance of quality with file size. This can be accessed bu clicking the custom button after “Render as”.

Thanks Jeremy. I’ll see if I can cut it down some, and then give the bit rate changing a go.
