    Hello,
I shot a great thunderstorm, with rain and thunder sounds. Would like to convert the audio portion into an ordinary CD to play in any CD player as background.
I selected portions of the audio, and assembled them in an extra AUDIO track. 55 minutes long.
    There are three questions:
    1. Which type of file should it be rendered at, (“Render As”) in order to eventually make an audio CD?
    2. Will clicking the SOLO button of the assembled audio track make only that track be rendered, or do I have to erase all the other tracks?
    3. Can Vegas, or DVD Architect, make an audio CD from the result?
    Thank you in advance,
    John

You can make an audio CD straight from the timleine.
First, go to Tools> Lay out audio CD from Events, or create tracks using the N key.

    Then Tools>Burn CD> Disc-at-Once.

    Muted tracks are not rendered.

What I would also do is render out the edited audio to a standard 44.1Khz 16 bit WAV file and save that file onto a CD as a data file. That way if you ever want to make another copy of the audio you can just copy the file to your hard drive and burn it as an audio CD. This way you don’t have to “rip” the file from the original CD in order to burn another copy later on.

    Gentlemen,
Thank you both for your prompt and clear responses.
Remarkable product, Vegas, that can burn an audio CD direct!
