  Project AE won’t open

  Hi

  My project AE won’t open after I changed the name, it was called Destination 2 and I took off the “2”. Now it will no longer open.Any help appreciated.

  just changing the file name shouldn’t effect the project opening… did you remove or modify the tag (file extension)… it should be .aep

  if the tag isn’t the problem, then try creating a new project and import the old project into it.

  and just to make sure, you are not trying to open the project in an older version of ae, correct? ae projects are not backwards compatible so, for example, a cs4 project will not open in cs3 regardless of the name…

  Hi Kevin,

  Just tried what you suggested and I get an error message 33::4.

  The .aep is there
  Can’t open in other project
  The same AE that it was built in

  If you think of anything else thanks in advance…
